Alright people, I thought I should share a little about myself for those of you out there who don’t know me. I was raised in the largest town that starts and ends with a “P”…Puyallup, WA.. I am a 3rd generation Puyallup Viking and was raised in a household crazy about the Washington State Cougars. My mom was raised in Pullman and my parents met on campus there. My only sibling and older brother, Patrick, was already holdin’ it down in the Palouse, so when it was time to pick a school to advance my scholastic endeavors, it was a no brainer – Go Cougs!!!!!
I was fortunate enough to go to Wazzu on a full-ride scholarship to play football and baseball. I had the most amazing college experience like most Cougars. Y’all who are Cougs know what I mean – “Once a Coug, always a Coug.” The friendships, experiences, and memories that were made I’ll cherish forever. When my student-athlete days were over, I continued my education and received my Master’s Degree in Education Administration. My goal at the time was to be an Athletic Director someday at a major university, but God had other plans.
After working in the WSU Athletic Department heading up the Gray “W” Club (the alumni association for former student-athletes), I realized I was “that guy” still hanging out at the college bars on campus (I could swear I’d hear people whispering, “he’s still here?”). I decided to move back to the westside and get into the medical sales industry. After several years in pharmaceutical sales, I made the move to medical devices and have loved every minute of it.
Enough of the boring stuff. Now for the most important info about me…my amazing wife Kendra. I sometimes joke by saying, “I must be an amazing salesman…look at who I married (haha).” My dad always advised me to marry someone smart. Well dad, not only is she intelligent, witty, full of sarcasm, and has more street smarts than Ice Cube, she is drop dead gorgeous…did I mention she’s 5’9 (can you say breeding material!). She unequivocally, hands down, is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We have 3 beautiful children, Baylor, Bellamy, and Winnie. Life doesn’t get much better than that.
I love movies and music…those are my favorite 2 past-times. I’m always trying to catch the latest movie and I have music on constantly (aside from turning water into wine, Jesus’ greatest miracle was creating Spotify). I love to workout, play basketball, and spend time with my beautiful family. I must say I am truly blessed.
Thank you for always being positive.
